Khokhar was responding to the high court s March 29 2017 decision ordering re-investigation and re-trial of five anti-Sikh riot cases against him and others. A bench of Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Anu Malhotra had sought to know from them as to why it should not order re-investigation and re-trial against them as they had faced allegations of horrifying crimes against humanity . 69-year old Khokhar who is currently behind bars in another riots case by way of an affidavit also claimed that he had never indulged in any criminal activity. Rather he helped the riot victims at the later stage. He had been named by the complainant after a long period which is totally an afterthought. He had no role to play in the riots committed by an unruly mob the affidavit stated. Khokhar was produced before the court from the Tihar Jail here. It said when a group of 200-500 people attacked a house it is very hard to recognise a single person in the mob. The re-investigation/re-trial of cases in which he had been acquitted by the trial court will affect his whole life. He has already been arrested and sent behind bars and released on bail and thereafter faced the trial and after a long period of 33 years if the case is reopened it will affect his whole life the affidavit said. Urging the court to take a lenient view he said no fruitful purpose would be served by reopening old cases which had resulted in his acquittal due to non-appearance of prosecution witnesses. The high court on its own had issued show cause notices to several accused and complainants seeking their response to secure ends of justice after perusing the trial court records regarding the acquittal of accused in 1986 in five different cases. The riots had broken out a day after the assassination of then prime minister Indira Gandhi on October 31 1984 and over 2 700 people were killed in Delhi alone. The trial court records were placed before the high court by the CBI during the hearing of another 1984 riot case in which the acquittal of Congress leader Sajjan Kumar and punishment awarded to other convicts is under challenge by CBI the riot victims and convicts. Besides Khokhar the high court had issued notices to 11 accused including ex-MLA Mahender Yadav on the complaints filed regarding rioting incidents on November 1 and 2 1984 in Delhi Cantonment area. Khokhar was convicted in a riots case at Delhi Cantonment in which Kumar was acquitted by a trial court. Life right here took place outdoor at corners with anybody rubbing shoulders towards each other. Life is shit right here Hip-hop as a movement advanced inside the Bronx in 1970 as a culture inside the ghettos. Like many pioneers Prabh Deep believes that it is the voice of energy for folks that are marginalised. The Sikhs of Tilak Nagar who form his network are immigrants from Peshawar and Sindh in Pakistan and distinct from wealthier Punjabis in other neighborhoods of the capital. Overpopulated but underdeveloped there is a lawlessness to those elements of Delhi that inspires Prabh Deep s tune and informs his disdain. This mix he says is crucial to the evolution of the tradition of hip-hop You need to locate poetry in issue. That s what the movement is ready. Why should track and artwork most effective be approximately lovely things? Life is shit right here so I tell people approximately it. I inform them the truth. Not spin some celebration grooves that in the end make no sense. This whole underground scene it s all bullshit. It is essentially a bunch of center-magnificence and rich children who're buddies all being attentive to one another there's no criticism no opposition. F okay being underground. I don t care about that. Hip-hop is a subculture not a network. We are competitive with each other. Play Even even though Prabh Deep s achievement is growing swiftly he nevertheless has to fight human beings for payments and is upset that even contracts are not signed. Standards of salary inside the Indian music industry were low for many years developing a hurdle for artists without any reach in it to go into the scene. Payments are constantly not on time no person symptoms contracts how do you expect any originality or new voices on this placing? He stated. When I did one gig a person wasn t paying me and the landlord changed into banging on our door asking for hire. We aren t center class right here I need the money from my tune and anything occurs I will get it out of them. As the sun begins to set the lighting fixtures within the gullies of Tilak Nagar started out to exchange mood. Women begin leaving more younger guys come out to take a seat in corners and at a chai store close to his house men in pink Nike sneakers watch him intently. You see that he said. They are wearing running shoes like mine. Hip-hop is extra than just song it gives an identity to human beings. It is difficult to try this right here it isn't always clean however f okay it I ll make it manifest.

Play When Prabh Deep raps he offers a voice to a network a medium to the Delhi-Punjabi language used otherwise simplest in slang and creates a realm distinct from the norm. His tune is resonant with lingo references and an inscrutable loyalty to his personal people. Like other messiahs of the hip-hop culture Prabh Deep is determined to disrupt engrained parameters of what may be Indian music and at the equal time shake up the autocracy in the Indian music scene. In his track Kal he raps approximately being threatened on the streets as a younger guy stepping into fights and the terse threat that described his younger existence. He is important of the enterprise which he dismisses as a façade Of route rap is my passion however it's also my activity. When I began out I changed into making song for cash but nobody will pay you properly for these things. They treat song like a interest like aspect-tasks.
